These are the Most Haunted Places In Nacogdoches, Texas
Every town has its own stories of weird happenings or supernatural places. There seem to always be so-called haunted places. Nacogdoches has a few ghost stories as it is the oldest town in Texas.
The only ones that I can name are on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus. One is the Stone Fort Museum. The story about it, is that students that come in there before they graduate won't graduate. I think I've got that right. There might be a bit more to it. If you know, feel free to let me know.
The other one is Mast Hall. I'm talking about one of the dorms on campus. I don't know what the story is behind it, but it's always mentioned in hushed tones when it's brought up in conversation.
Off-campus, downtown's Hotel Fredonia is a favorite for ghost hunters as KTRE found in 2017:
Hotel owner Susan Pack Reents said the hotel has been deemed haunted by former employees and even guests who claim to have had run-ins with the unknown.
"On the 6th floor they've talked about a ghost, all of our housekeepers have different stories on different floors; they've also talked about happy Jack on the 2nd floor," said Reents.
What other haunts can you find in this historic Texas city? With all of the cemeteries and all of the old abandoned buildings and structures that are around town, there have to be quite a few ghost stories that have made their rounds over the years.
